Micro-Precision Guides
provide precise control of the bandsaw blade using special Tefloy side support blocks.
These hardened sintered steel blocks are vacuum impregnated with teflon material resulting
in much lower friction and cooler running blades than with tool steel blocks. The teflon
acts as a dry-film lubricant to reduce wear, lower friction , and increase useful life.
Back support is provided by a double sealed ball bearing encased in a precision ground
hardened steel wear ring. All Micro-Precision models feature vernier adjustment of the
side blocks and complete flexibility of configuration. Each guide may be set up as either
a right-hand or left-hand unit to ensure that the controls are always located in the most
convenient position. Micro-Precision Guides are available in three models:
CP10: Handles blade sizes from 3/16
inch to 1 3/4 inches; blade speeds up to 7,000 feet per minute; used on machines from 30
inches to 42 inches in wheel diameter. Overall size is 4 inches high, 4 1/4 inches wide,
by 3 inches deep with a 3/4 inch diameter mounting hole.
CP20: Handles blade sizes from 1/8
to 1 1/4 inches; blade speeds to 6,000 feet per minute; used on machines from 16 to 36
inch wheel diameters. Overall size is 3 inches high, 4 inches wide, by 2 1/2 inches deep
with a 3/4 inch diameter mounting hole.
CP30: Blade sizes from 1/8 to 3/4
inch; blade speeds to 5,000 feet per minute; used on machines from 14 to 20 inches in
wheel diameter. Overall size is 2 1/4 inches high, by 3 inches wide, by 1 7/8 inches deep
with 7/16 inch diameter mounting hole.

Guidall All Ball Bearing Guides are
equipped with ball bearings on all 3 sides of the blade for maximum support with the least
possible friction. Using double sealed bearings, these units provide unmatched durability
and performance. All rolling contact on the blade means there is no surface wear due to
friction thus eliminating the need for frequent readjustment of the side rollers. Once
positioned for proper clearance with a given blade, they maintain that setting hour after
hour, day after day for the most consistent cut possible. Extremely low friction means
less heat buildup in the blades and less chance of blade damage when making tight radius
cuts. Three basic styles are available:
- Model 500: compact, yet rugged; suitable for
bandsaws from 14 to 30 inches in wheel diameter; able to handle blades from 3/16 to 1 1/4
inches in width at speeds up to 5,000 feet per minute.
- Model 600: similar to the Model 500 but larger;
suited for saws from 30 to 42 inches in wheel diameter; able to handle blades from 1/4 to
2 1/2 inches in width at speeds up to 5,000 feet per minute
- Model 400: extra heavy duty construction;
utilizes oversize side support rollers and double bearing back up wheel; suitable for saws
from 30 to 42 inches in wheel diameter; covers blade widths from 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches at
speeds up to 11,000 feet per minute.
